Empath Designs creates mindfulness experiences using visual arts and symbolism.

I was recently inspired to reconnect with my first art collection - Perennial Harmony and bring it to life with movement. As a Multimedia Designer graduate, I'd taken a long break away from animation to focus on other design endeavours.
Reconnecting with this artwork through animation has brought back a lot of memories from when I was learning new design skills and working the ropes in the design industry. It took me a little bit to refresh my memory with motion graphics, and I'm so happy with the work I've put into my newest animation.

Perennial Harmony was inspired by a book titled Flower Therapy by Robert Reeves. When I first worked on these pieces, I was discovering my art style and still figuring out what I wanted to present artisticly. While exploring the shapes and colours of the flowers I decided to work with, as well as learning about the symbolism behind the seven major chakras, the shapes and composition all came about so smoothly as if somebody else was drawing them out for me. The minimalism of each piece stands out easily and has its own unique energy that speaks lovingly to the viewer.
Peace and love,
Germaine
