The Autumnal Equinox marks the first day of the season of Autumn and is celebrated across the globe by many cultures.
The word equinox comes from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night). On the two equinoxes every year, the Sun shines directly on the Equator and the length of day and night are nearly equal. In the Southern Hemisphere, the Autumnal Equinox falls on March 20 or 21, and in the Northern Hemisphere, falls on September 22 or 23.
The Autumnal Equinox symbolises abundance and is a meaningful time of year to honour the harvest, be it a literal harvest of flora or produce, or a a harvest of efforts and intentions that had been set at the start of the four seasons. This is a perfect time to express gratitude for all that we have in our lives and to honour our spiritual path, before we head into a state of contemplation during the winter.

Notes:
- Print using your home printer or with a local printer that offers fine art printing. I recommend using a thicker matte paper with minimal texture, however any white paper works fine. Please remember different printers have different print qualities depending on the printer, inks and also paper used. Therefore the image may turn out slightly different because of that.
