The upper abdomen is where the Solar Plexus Chakra sits. The yellow energy of the Solar Plexus Chakra aligns strongly with the vibrant and joyful Sunflower, and keeping this flower close by helps raise our mood and energy levels by promoting smiles and happiness. Learning to balance intellect with self-confidence and ego helps to strengthen our self-esteem and develop our sense of well-being.This solid foundation of personal power encourages us to share this beautiful happiness with others through humour, teaching, and sharing stories of our experiences.

Bergamot is named after the Italian city of Bergamot in Lombardy. Used as a flavouring in Earl Grey tea, and described as the ‘sunshine oil’, Bergamot aids in uplifting spirits and emotions, and building confidence to let go and rediscover emotional control. Its sweet citrus-floral aroma stimulates the power center and helps us find courage to open up, improving our wellbeing.

Also known as the abundance stone, Citrine carries the energy of the sun to empower its cleansing and regenerative properties. The stone absorbs, transmutes, and grounds negative energy, therefore never needs cleansing. Citrine aids in reversing self-destructive behaviour and promotes inner calm, allowing you to explore the flow of feelings and become emotionally balanced.

Use Citrine and Bergamot together during meditation while visualising the Sunflower to empower your Solar Plexus Chakra. In unity, these items may support you to increasing your joy and confidence, while allowing your natural wisdom to emerge.
